Base Gasket Leaks

Question for Fix My Hog Does anyone machine evo jugs, to use an o-ring on the bottom, to stop base gasket leaks?

Fix My Hog Answers Twin Cams leak with the o-ring design as well. If you use a James top end gasket kit, go together nice & clean (all gasket surfaces & hardware meticulously cleaned & prepped), tighten down everything to factory specs – your base gaskets will remain dry for many years & miles.

if it s a pre 1992 evo make sure the surfaces are strait that there are no cracks in the base (common) and that the studs are not loose or pulling out also warming up the motor before you take off will make your new gaskets leak free longer

If you use a James Gasket kit use there torque specs not the factory specs. I found out the hard expensive way!
