I am having problems getting Ino gear. The clutch doesn’t pop when I try to go into first gear. I am afraid to make it worse by trying to ride. I am a 68 year old man who has his very own 2008 anniversary heritage 3W conversion. I am a rookie who is totally ignorant of motor bike mechanics. What do I need to do? I would appreciate it if you could help me.

One of the tell tail signs of pinholes in the fuel pump hose inside your tank is the problem will get worse with less fuel in the tank. When the tank is full, the fuel helps to reduce the amount of leakage. When you replace that hose, its a good practice to split the old failed hose lengthwise and use it as an out protective sleeve on the new hose.

I have a 2003 Roadking that had the same problem. It ended up being pin hole leaks in the hose that is downstream of the fuel pump housed inside the gas tank. Check the fuel pressure. Mine was supposed to be something like 62 psi. Actual was 34 psi. I am assuming your bike is fuel injected.
