Harley Stock Cam

QuestionI would think the air filter and pipes would probably require an Air/Fuel/Ratio increase. Does adding the cam upgrade, definitely need an increase of Air/Fuel/ratio more than just the air filter and pipes? 2002 FLSTCI Heritage From stock to : K&N air filter Hooker long shots (pipes) Bolt-in cam slight upgrade

Answer Any change from a Harley stock cam to performance will warrant more fuel. When the overall lift and overlap of the valves change, the engine will run lean and need more fuel.

I put on my 2002 ultra classic a v&h true duals , Rhine hart pipes and commander 5 and stage two air breather. Local HD dynoed the bike and it started back firing. Dynoed again same thing except this time when it back it can cut off my bike. Also I lost more than ten miles to a gallion of gas. Any idea why it's back firing more.

All Harleys in California are very lean to start with just to make it pass EPA

Hi, I enjoy reading about all these other bikes, but Inhave a stick '79 XLCH 1000, Sportster, and would like to get info particularly for MY '79 Sportster? Can my emails be direted towards the bike I have? Im not any mechanic and need all the info and direction you can provide... Im 65 and have mechanical skills in every dang thing but a cycle, so if I could organize what comes my way a bit, I think I can take care of it myself?
