Motor Mount Hardware

Question for Fix My Hog Replace front motor mount still getting some vibration but better. Should I check the engine stabilizer bar? If so do you have a video on checking it / how to adjust it or replace it. Or other things to check. Just under 12 thousand miles.

Fix My Hog Answers We would suggest, slightly, loosening and re torquing your motor mount hardware. Do this with the full weight of the engine on the mount. Inspect your top motor mount. If the motor has high mileage, the vibration may not be corrected with motor mounts.

I did something I never did in the past. I let someone else do some mechanical work on my 99 FLHT. Tranny mainshaft seal replacement turned out OK, the mechanic told me the front mount was bad and only cost about $20. so I said go ahead. WOW! darn thing vibrates now worse than my 73 Sporty did. Told me I had to run it for a little while for everything to seat back in. I can't ride it. Gives me a head ache. Right muffler almost fell off, clutch cable is leaking now, engine won't idle right and shuts off. I'll never let anyone work on my bike again. After I install a glide Pro.

My 2007 ultra was vibrating. It was the motor mount on top by the horn. The bolts came loose. I tightened them up and everything was good.

change your motor mounts to a set made by Glide-Pro and also check out their website to view the video on alignment. This system works wonderfully. Did it on my 2008 Road- king
