Oil in My Air Lines 97 FLHR

Question for Fix My HogI love the Touring DVDs. I have a 1997 FLHR. I have some fork oil showing up at the front air valve. Is this oil in my air lines normal, a possible seal problem or possible overfill from my last service? The bike has not been laid down or fallen over. Any thoughts or whether I should be worried? Thanks and keep up the great work. – Mike

Fix My Hog AnswersHi Mike,

The forks may be a little overfull for your application. A lot of rough road usage will allow some fluid to travel up into the fill line. Monitor the mileage and watch how much fluid you are losing.  Should level off and stop on its own. Wrench Safe, FMH

I have a 1999 FLHR. I'm going to install the 2000 and later front brakes and have all the parts - calipers, lowers, seals. Just curious if I'll need to replace the rotors, too, or if the '99 rotors will line up with the later calipers.
