Summer 2011, I took a SOLO 8600 mile round trip Journey starting in NC, SC, AL, GA, Fla, MS, LA, TX, NM, AZ, CA, OR, WA, ID, WY, SD, MN, WI, IL, IN, KY, WV, VA and home. 23 States in 23 days and didn’t need anyone to hold my hand if anything went South. What a Ride. Oh Yeah, the pic is somewhere in AZ at a rest stop. Notice my right hand. Riders cramp. Seems that the “Cruise Control” tops out somewhere around 82mph. ARLENE [My Bike] has a “comfortable cruising speed” of about 84 to 92 mph…with plenty of throttle left. Not bad for a Geezer Glide! I enjoy my rides knowing I have the knowledge only a select few have. Keep up the good work.
