I started riding in 1969 on a 1965 BSA Lighting, rode it all winter back & forth to work in Michigan, no way to keep warm but I was 19 & it didn’t
seem to matter. After a few years I started to have a family & thought it best to sell the BSA & stick with four wheels. In the mean time I did a lot of painting on Sportsters & always did have one to ride when I wanted to so that did work out pretty good.
After all of my children were through college, married & gone I did a lot of racing in Corvette’s, Road racing & Autocrossing, ended up 15th in the
nation one year. With that chapter gone in my life I decided I needed something to do to keep me going so I got back into motorcycles. I bought a 2006 Softail Heritage & road it for a year. A very good friend had a bunch of personal problems so we made a deal so that he could buy it from me. He really did need to get on the road again he put close to 30,000 miles on it that year! I looked around & bought the bike I now own a 2008 Electra Glide Classic did a few simple mods like the quick disconnect for the rear luggage compartment. This is one nice riding comfortable motorcycle & I do get tons of compliments on the color.
