2012 Road King

I started motorcycle riding in 1974 and initially I rode summer and winter, after some 25 years I stopped doing that, January and February I’m not riding anymore, too cold. Over the years I had two solo FLH Electra Glides (74 CID) and one FLHC Electra Glide with a factory original sidecar (80 CID) all Shovelheads. Also have a 42WLA (45 CID) since 1987. In 2012 I decided to buy a new Twin Cam Harley-Davidson which would have no radio so only one option for me, cause I like the Touring models, a Road King. It became a Road King Classic that I upgraded with a SE Ventilator Air filter and Vance & Hines power duals completed with monster rounds, SEPST, Police solo seat and handlebar 56569-09 which needed some modifications for the throttle by wire that is common for the Road King. The detachable windshield I only install when I hit the road for several days in a row. The reason that I became a member of Fix My Hog is to become more knowledgeable about the Twin Cam Harley-Davidsons. Maintenance is done by me and your site is very helpful in doing that.
