Thanks for this opportunity to share a brief part of my story. First of all, bought my 2009 SE Road Glide used in 2010 with 2272 miles on it from my local dealer. In 2013, I upgraded my engine to a Revolution 113 cu. in. Aluminum cylinder motor, 10:5-1 jugs, S&S 585 cam, a 58 mm (w/Red Band injectors) intake for my TBW intake and a Bassani 2-1 exhaust. Needless to say its not the mild mannered bike HD had in mind; I can assure you of that. Being an old school Carburetor wrench type jug jockey. I have found that this new age Fuel Injection and ECM module has had me scratching my head trying to get the right tune and fuel ratio’s synchronized a living nightmare. Thankfully the boys at Thunder Max are helping me to get caught up and teaching this old dog a few new tricks! I have watched a few of, “Fix My Hog”, videos so far and its been helpful. Matter of fact, their video on wheel bearing replacement motivated me to replace both front and rear wheel bearings before this years riding season begins in a few weeks as I am preparing for Laughlin the end of this month. Since I didn’t have the right tools to do the bearing replacement I had my local HD shop do the repairs for me. Sadly, when I picked up my bike the motor was popping and snorting so badly I barely made it home. After some investigating I determined someone shorted out my ECM. After a few hours of re-downloading my map and fixing some defaults; DT’s, I was able to correct it. Seems some HD mechanic’s have never been trained to remove the ECM and Main Breaker fuse’s before they disconnect the battery? At least that’s what I’m thinking anyway? Anyway, the Revolution guys in Plymouth, WI are the greatest and their products are the best. Andrew and Cody are really great guys to work with during this project. I recommend them, “Highly”! Thanks again for coming up with your repair video’s, they’re a great help, even for a guy whose been around the barn a few times!

Hi, this is my 2003 Road King Classic I live on the Costa Blanca near Alicante, Spain. I’m English and we have lived here for 8 years and I ride with a hog group here called Costa Blanca Espania, this year it’s Cadiz for the hog festival anyone wishing to meet up mail me on b4billy2@yahoo.co.uk

The Road King is one owner before me Fred B who lives in Florida and England. This bike is American spec bought from the states to England 5 years ago and now she lives in Spain and is stopping with me for good. This is the best Harley I’ve rode and owned and at 2003 you would think it was brand new to look at, credit to Fred for looking after it before me.

I’ve subscribed to Fix My Hog recently. It’s like an online mechanics course. Bob is excellent at what he does. I’m a certified service tech in multiple other trades and have attended years of tech classes. I don’t think I could learn the specifics of these repairs much better anywhere else. I ride a 2013 Road King.

This is my 2006 Harley Davidson Road King Custom fuel injected FLHRS. Glacier White Pearl. Since purchasing the bike, I had the cam tensioner modification replaced with gear drive as it appears that is the main flaw with the twin cam engine. I also installed cruise control and replaced leather hard bags with fiberglass bags and dressed up the front fender and replaced stock beach bars with pull backs. I joined Fix My Hog after being impressed with the fellows who were performing upgrades and mods. A good investment in my view rather than a problem down the road that would cost much more and a loss of riding time.

This is my HOG. FAT SUE is her name, and I Love her. She’s a 2009 Road King, retired City police bike. I got her about a year ago, and she had 17,500 at that time. She got 23,000 now. As you can see, I added the trunk, and headlight bezel. Mama has a 2006 Low 1200. Hope to get started soon on you site. Nice talking with you on the phone.

I bought my HD Boom Box June of 2014. After reading through the “wonderfully written” HD instructions, I put the stereo back in the box. Then last month I found Fix My Hog. After reviewing a couple of videos, I tore into the Road King. 4 hours later I was cruising to my favorite tunes. Thanks guys for the help.

Loved the Harley detailing video; although I had heart failure when he was hosing down the bike as I have never hosed down a road bike, only off road bikes. Now I know that one can hose a bike down without any problems as long as you are careful. Perhaps you can have a section on “FixMyHog” that list cleaning/polishing/detailing products that have been proven to work well. There were products he used in the video that I never was aware of. This would be very helpful for the members.

This was taken when it was warm and sunny here in London Town. Now it is cold and overcast but it ain’t raining! Which is nice on my 30 mile round commute each day. As they say, a bad day in the saddle beats a good day in the office.

Hi Guys, What a fantastic idea for a website. Finding any info on how to D.I.Y for my Harley has been a bit of a mission to say the least. Fact is, I am a tinkerer when it comes to my hobbies and toys and really need the guidance to not make a mess sometimes. How you doing? I wanted to let you know I got my 2003 Softail running. It was the battery. When I pulled it, the install date was May 2008. Well passed its due date for replacement. After picking a new one up from the Harley shop, the bike fired up on first crank. A decent amount of black smoke can out of the exhaust pipes. After adjusting the idle screw the bike was running solid. I changed the oil and primary fluid and fired it back up and took it for a ride. It was about 30 degrees out at the time. Overall after the rebuild on the carb, re-jetting, and tuning the bike has never run better. I learned a lot through this process. Fix My Hog was my guide.
