Hi Randy. When you customize, you compromise! That is simply the cost of sounding cool!!
But seriously, if you are experiencing backfire, the tuner is not set correctly. If you can figure out how to correctly dial in the tuner, your mileage might increase slightly. Anytime you make performance upgrades, your gas mileage will go down.
You may want to consider a Power Commander V or Vance and Hines FP3. They are better tuners.

I took my baffles out of my Rineharts I installed a new Cobra fuel management where I can adjust the tuner The Green pot at 1.5 the yellow pot at 2.5 and the red pot at 0 per instructions but I am going through gas like crazy and I get a back fire every time I shift gears that’s the only time it back fires what worries me is now my gas mileage went down to 32
