We suggest that you install a new battery and spark plugs.
Then, attempt to start.
Once running, its a good idea to test your charging system. At least, test for strong return voltage at the battery.
After the bike runs for a few minutes and oil fully circulates, change all fluids. If tires are more than 5 years old, they should be replaced prior to riding.
Realistically; if the bike has been sitting for a number of years, you should be performing a complete 50k service (regardless of mileage).
That would also include
Brake flush
Service neck bearings
Fork oil
Clutch adjustment
Primary chain adjustment
Throttle adjustment
Etc
