Law Tigers: What to Look for When Shopping for Motorcycle Insurance
Kevin BaasBefore you get on your Harley and head down the road, it is important that you have an insurance policy that will cover you best. All policies are different. Kevin Baas and Law Tigers give us tips on choosing a policy that works best for you.
Hi, Kevin Bass here at Vintage Bike Addiction. I'm here with Fix My Hog today, to give you a little PSA from our friends at Law Tigers, and this is about what to look for when you're getting your motorcycle insurance. Policies are all different, and there are four key tips that Law Tigers recommends. First one is make sure you have UM/UIM in your policy. What does that cover?
That covers if you're hit by somebody who's underinsured with not enough insurance, no insurance at all, or a hit and run driver. Make sure you have that coverage to protect yourself. Tip number two, make sure you match your insurance coverage to that state's needs. There are requirements sometimes that are not enough to really cover you. You want to max out your UM/UIM as much as you can afford, and that will not only protect you, but it will protect somebody else in case you cause the accident.
The third tip is ask about stacking. Stacking is when you have multiple vehicles insured under that policy, and what will happen is if you have those multiple vehicles insured, you get more payout if there is ever an accident. The fourth tip is review your fine print and exclusions. Some policies won't cover pain and suffering. They won't cover motorcycles.
They won't even cover your passengers. So you want to make sure you know exactly what your policy covers and what you have behind you before you get out on the road. Those are the four tips from Law Tigers. Uh, you want to make sure you're out there, you have good insurance, you're covered, and if you need legal action for anything, get a hold of Law Tigers, 1-800-LA-Tigers or LawTigers.com. They've got your back to make sure you get what you deserve.
