Shovelhead New Exhaust Gasket

Mike has already completed many service points on his Shovelhead. In this video Mike will wrap up a number of incidentals as well as the reinstallation of the rear exhaust pipe assembly.

Mike reinstalls the timing cover along with a new gasket. He reinstalls the battery covers along with some foam packing, in order to accommodate a new style, AGM, sealed battery. The seat, chain guard, and the left side rider floorboard are also reinstalled.

It is important to continue inspecting areas of the motorcycle as you work. Mike inspects fuel & oil hoses, battery cables, choke cable, etc. The rear exhaust pipe is installed with a new gasket at the head. All hardware is assembled loosely before final tightening from front to back.
