Q: On a 2008 SG is there a trick to changing out the factory grips? I have put new grips on used the manual step by step but it keeps stalling and losing power, if I smack the end of the grip it gives me my throttle back. This cannot be that hard to do what am I missing?
A: You, most likely, pinched the right side switch housing wiring harness.
I have an 03 883 sportser that will only idle with the enricher out a1/4” fully warmed up. The carb was cleaned and serviced by a Harley mechanic right before I purchased it. It just now has 1055 miles on it. It had 710 when purchased. I have run sea foam and several tanks of fuel through it, and it still has to ne out that much to idle. Will occasionally sneeze back through the carb when taking off from a stop. Was wondering if it os a possible vacuum leak. Thanks for any help you can give me in advance.

Can a drive belt on a 1994 fxdwg be replaced without removing the rear wheel and swing arm by simply removing the shock absorber lower bolt and pushing the rear wheel forward to obtain the slack needed to remove it from the rear and front sprockets?
Yes. It is easier to replace a belt on Dyna & Sportster models.
You need to remove your inner primary, but only need to get around the left side shock & belt guard in the back.
Hi I got a 2006 Ultra Classic Electra Glide I just upgraded the motor from a 88 to a 103 having the hardest time trying to line up the motor can you give me some tips on that how to get the motor lined up.
We typically use a flat jack with a wood block to lift the motor. And, if needed, we use a pry bar with folded rags or smaller wood blocks to pry side to side.
It is also helpful to have a wood, plastic, nylon, or rubber wedge to use between the oil pan and frame crossmember in order to lift the transmission. However, you must be careful not to damage the oil pan.

Ticket 22308 to change the factory heated grips on my bike. Do I have to pull the wires from the handle bars?
Dear Jimbo,
Thank you for your patience. In response to your question-
If you are replacing grips with another set of HD grips, you may be able to simply plug in the new grips.
If the new heated grips are aftermarket, you will have work to do.
