Fix My Hog: Worth A Million Words

If a picture is worth a 1,000 words then a video from Fix My Hog: worth a million words. One needs no further proof of this than the Fix My Hog video series. In these videos the fix-it gang, Bob and Mark, not only show you how to do the work but tell you all the secrets and inside tips that make performing the maintenance easier. So far Fix My Hog has two videos out, one on the Softail models and their newest video on the touring models.

We just got the new touring video and it is top-shelf material. It is very comprehensive; it runs for 3 1/2 hours covering the full spectrum of basic maintenance. You get info on seat removal and battery check, the full line of fluid servicing (motor, transmission, primary drive and forks), tune-up, tire and brake service, cable lubrication and adjustment, front fairing removal and steering head bearing service.

Also included are the tool recommendations and safety check procedures. The video covers both Twin Cam and Evolution series of bikes.

Even if you don’t plan on doing the work yourself, the video will give you an overview of what to expect when your bike is in the shop, so that you can better understand what you are paying for. If you own a bagger the $45.95 you lay down for this video is probably some of the best money you will ever spend on your bike. The Softail video costs $39.95.
Wheel Service made sensible. Bob and Mark show you just what it takes to remove the wheels.
This video not only covers basic battery service, but also how to check the charging system; even showing what tools you need.
We found the fork serice to be very comprehensive. The video gets into all aspects of it.
