IronWorks Product Review

Chances are that if you’re reading this review you probably own a Sportster. You also most likely enjoy turning a wrench on your XL, taking the opportunity to perform periodic maintenance or give it some needed repair. If you need some guidance in the form of an illustrated DVD, I have good news for you. The folks at Fix My Hog recently added a Sportster Edition to their selections.

The three-hour double DVD set is a great supplement for a conventional shop repair manual, too. Shop manuals are good in terms of telling you how to accomplish a task, but the Fix My Hog DVD actually shows you in great detail how to do all the actual tasks in the shop.

Two professional mechanics appear in the DVD, presenting an easy-to-follow approach to service and repair. Careful attention is paid to all torque settings and factory specifications during each episode, and the DVD includes bonus material that addresses battery care, draining the fuel tank, air filter service, and rider safety tips. At $42.95 retail, Sportster owners will find this a great addition to their tool boxes. You can order the DVD fro Fix My Hog, or buy it at bike shops
