Stage 4 Dyno

Question for Fix My Hog

My 2015 Low Rider has a stage 4 motor kit with Bassani 2-in-1 exhaust. Bought it this way. Was told to expect the deceleration popping (kinda like it). Is that harming the engine?

Fix My Hog Answers

You can eliminate decel popping with proper tuning. Sometimes it can be somewhat challenging for an owner. A tuning center or a shop with a dynamometer can eliminate decel popping and program the tuner/ECM for optimum performance, but decel popping will not damage the engine.

I have an electric glide 012 I just had a stage 4 . I had went to Daytona last month and I had a lot of popping and back firing. I was worried and the dealer checked out my bike and said everything is normal. Also installed tap preforms , zombies about 1 year before

Install a Vance & Hines FP3 Fuelpak tuner.

I have an Electra Glide Standard (2021) 107. It was tuned with some Vance & Hines slip-on muffs. If I change slip-ons, will I have to re-tune?
