Steve Knoble walks FMH GOLD Members through the step by step process of turning some raw material into a custom part for a Harley. In this video, Steve purchases some brass stock and machines it into some 1” riser spacers for his handle bar risers. Once they are installed, he covers the installation of the longer brake line to accommodate for the taller risers. Afterwards Steve bleeds the air out of the abs brake system. Throughout the video, Steve explains the process of torquing each fitting and lists off the proper torque specs for the fasteners.

During the machining process, Steve covers the basics of the operation of a lathe, and a few tips along the way to help insure you get a quality part at the end. He also touches on a few safety tips to ensure your eyeballs and limbs are still intact after running a lathe.

This whole project is completed on a 2022 Harley M8 Softail Lowrider ST FLXRST and all the machining is done at Skidmark Garage in Cleveland Ohio.
