Question for Fix My Hog 1999 Harley Road King Classic. Can the fuel pump be replaced with fuel still in the tank?

    I have 2 purple wires that are on a connector and go into somewhere? can someone please help me where to find the location. they are little metal tabs

    The fuel pump can be changed with fuel in the tank but it is easier with the tank empty.
