Installing an exhaust gasket can help reduce popping on deceleration. First, make sure you do not have any intake or exhaust leaks. When installing exhaust gaskets, you’ll want to make sure they don’t bunch up, which can cause an exhaust leak or a restriction in exhaust flow.
